Introduction of Mama - 25 Days To Go…
My name is Rikke Olsen and this is my diary of new motherhood. I’m 27 years old (currently) and have no kids (yet). I’ve got my first kid on the way and I thought I would document my experience here. So this diary will contain the do’s and don’ts of motherhood (hopefully more do’s and less don’ts). I hope this will provide valuable information to the new mothers/fathers out there, and if not, I hope I entertain you with my “bound to fail” attempt to become a mother.
My husband Morten Olsen, also jumped on the internet wagon and created his own diary: www.papasdiary.com. That will also have some useful information for new fathers as dads don’t get to experience as much as mums in pregnancy. So advice for new dads, pamper your partners and give them your love and support during pregnancy as they are doing all the hard work; carrying the burden, sleepless nights and so on ;o).
My baby due date is 18th of March 2007. The closer I’m getting to my due date I’m getting impatient of seeing my baby now. I have experienced a lot of incredible things during the last couple of months of my pregnancy, which I would like to share with the new mums, experiences such as:
- Looking at your baby’s blinking heart on scanning monitor for the first time
- Listening to your baby’s first heartbeat
- Feeling him/her move/kick inside you for the first time
Anyway, it’s very hard to describe your feelings in words, but I will try to share those with you in my diary. So follow my diary and if you’ve got some tips, comments, criticism, hell whatever leave a comment. (Don’t Spam though)
