Got Sick Just Before My Birth - 3 Days To Go…

My nephew came to visit me 3 days ago. He had some kind of viral infection and so I became sick. I got flu, very high fever and very bad sore throat. I got worried because I couldn’t feel baby move at all that day. So I told my husband to take me to hospital. Because I didn’t want anything to go wrong when I have so little time left to give birth.

When we got to the hospital, doctors took a lot of different tests such as urine test, blood test, and blood pressure and checked my lungs. They also put a device to monitor baby’s heartbeat, which was very fast compared to normal. So they told us to wait as the tests came negative, I had throat infection and very high fever. So they gave me penicillin, and after half an hour they wanted to check to baby’s heartbeat again.

I got relived when I found out that heartbeat is normal now, it was fast because I had fever. Not a very good thing to get sick when you are waiting to go in labor.
