The Angry And Stubborn Syndrome

My son is now 2 years old and has started to challenge the boundaries and guidelines set by Mama & Papa. He has developed the AAS syndrome (the angry and stubborn syndrome). If he does not get what he wants he will get angry and stubborn.

Junior The Nay Sayer

My son is 2 months short of being 2 years old. Time is flying away. He goes to nursery, has learned a lot of new things and can now say 2-3 words combined. He has also started his no-phase. So what’s the no-phase I hear you ask?

Middle Ear Infection - Follow Up

The specialist suggested that we put small piece of wood blocks under junior bed to keep his head slightly higher than the rest of his body. This would help in draining the fluid from his middle ear into his throat.

After a month we took junior back to the specialist…

Middle Ear Infection

Our son is now 15 months old. Within the past 4 months, he has had middle ear infection 3 times. The past 2 infections were within 1 month (after starting nursery).

Junior Starts Nursery

So a few weeks back Mama and Papa decided to put junior into the nursery. As junior is now 13 months old, we feel he is ready for it. At the nursery the childrens age is between 12 months and 2 years. We went there to get an intro, and a plan was made to school junior in.

Trying To Get 6 Hours Of Sleep

Following on from my previous post about Bad Habits, I’d like to elaborate on point 4 “He wakes up every 2 hours at night when at sleep”

I feed him milk around 11 pm where he goes to sleep. From then he wakes up ever 60-90 minutes and wants to feed again. He’s not hungry he just want to suck a bit of milk and go back to sleep. If I don’t feed him he starts crying.

As you can see, this pattern is very tiring for me. I don’t get much sleep during the night and I can’t sleep during the day. So in the long run I just get exhausted.

  1. He needs attention
  2. He does not sleep alone
  3. He does not like to sleep
  4. He wakes up every 2 hours at night when at sleep
  5. He’ll “spit” out his food when full
  6. He is a Mamas boy (added by Papa)
